Photo Manipulation!!!!!

Photo Editing..One of those fields in which I have little experience. Came across GIMP. It didn't make any sense at first and I blinked in front of the computer wondering what I was supposed to do. But after few initial mishaps I found a way around courtesy ; my helping friends and our master.

Layers and all,.it just confuses your brain. But this is what I got in the end.My first GIMP edit. Hoping that in the near future I will improve.......

Training Days....

After a long hibernation I am back once again. These days I am undergoing training in the Additional Skill Acquisition Programme in a far off place, hidden in the misty mountains, called Kuttikanam. Marian College is the name of the institution.

It is a very enriching experience and there are guys from different parts of our state. Everybody is enjoying it out, all the same learning something. The classes are activity oriented than theory oriented so it doesn't bore me much.
There are a lot of jokes being cracked around and sometimes tears come out of eyes while laughing.

We have been given accomodation in a resort and the stay is pretty comfortable. Only thing that dampen our spirits is the incessant rain which pours  day in and day out. Even then  we are having a lot of fun. We went for outings and the sceneries we saw were mindblowing. There are lots of selfies being clicked and most importantly I am happy amidst these cheerful smiling faces.

Be Yourself

Being unique is easily said in words, but when it comes to implementation, it is much hard than you perceive. One of the things I learnt over the years is that being yourself in situations, than to imitate others, is more effective. I myself respect the ideals and work ethics of many people, but I don't try to imitate them as such.

It comes to it that, character is not about following others but being what you are always. Follow your goals in YOUR own way. Don't expect that you will have a uber cool life if you put small efforts. To do big you have to think big first. Always its not the leaps you make, but the small steps you take towards your goal. It is said that ' A thousand mile journey begins with a single step'. We often defer in taking the small steps.

So be Yourself in what you do, wherever you are and in your thoughts. Show that your opinion is as good as others and you are important.

I Will Make Today Better Than Yesterday..

To stay productive is the key when you are trying to do something big. I have found that when you do something with a mind to help others, you can stay more productive than when you are doing it for yourself. So here are some tips which I have learnt through my experience.

1) Find time for what you really want to do..
There maybe things that are more important than others. Find time for them. In short, its                prioritizing your tasks. It cuts off unwanted time.

2) Eat, Sleep, Drink
You need energy to stay productive. Eat food  and drink lots of water. Getting adequate sleep recharges your mind. All these habits sync together to  boost your output. Thus paying attention to them is vital.

3) Have a Plan in mind
You should have a mental picture of what you are going to do next. Planning involves knowing what work and how much time you have in detail. The plan should be concrete and you should stick to it. Allow connections to happen naturally while you are doing but don't deviate much

4) Start Now..
Often the problem is that, after knowing and planning what you want to do, you can't gather yourselves to start. That's where your motivation and inspiration works and mainly the cause. If you take the decision and start, then everything will work well on due course.

5) Think and Appreciate yourself
Review your work and congratulate yourself for what you have done. This gives you  satisfaction and an urge to do more. And thus its said 'Excellence is not an act, its a habit'.

Comeback Time..

Well..I thought over and over about coming back to blogging. This time I have decided to be firm on my stand and not subside to external pressure. I have tried many other things during the so called 'vacation' which I took from blogging. tell you what there is something abou this definitely that can't be found elsewhere.

Social Networking have grown leaps and bounds over the years. Everyday we see the rise and fall of something. One day it will be Twitter blasting a million tweets under the same hashtag, and then it will be Facebook photo geting tons of likes. We have seen the rise of social networks like 'Ello' which just went from zero to hero in about one week's time. But still I think blogger has carved its own niche.

Hey that was my comeback message. Now I plan to stay here and be a regular and blog it away!!
I will try to get updated. My views will be wide, narrow, plain..etc etc..ok it'll be something, wait and watch. I am not an expert in analysis, but I think everyone's opinion has a value.
So let me start a new innings in blogging.

Wake Up Youth!

The youth in India is passing through circumstances never experienced in the history of the nation. Our country boasts of millions of educated youth. The question is how far do they contribute to nation building. Very few people realise how important they are and what their roles are. Service is not reserved only for doctors and soldiers. It can be done by everyone.

Education's primary motive is to make youth realise things and have a vision. As Mahatma Gandhi said " Live as if you were to die tomorrow and Learn as if you were to live forever ". Where education fails to make an impact, the human resource output is reduced. Primary step towards empowering youth is to provide knowledge. Education should be imparted in such a way to encourage them to go beyond classrooms and into the society.

In a free country like ours, there are lots of choices. In a wider context he choices we make in turn decides the fate of the country. Its easy to lead a life bothering nothing and enjoying. But such a life is meaningless. Responding to the call of the nation should be the vision of every youth in the nation.

We cannot go back and start a new beginning, but we certainly can start today and make a new ending. What we require is a positive attitude and progressive thinking. Of course there will be obstacles and cynical naysayers who pulls us back. But our success depends on whether we are determined followers of dreams, rather than bowing to these naysayers. Now its wake up time for all of us.

Aap ki Revolution

The Aam Aadmi Party has certainly created a wave in Delhi. The Delhi based party now faces the challenge of delivering to the level of a national party from a local party. AAP indeed have swiped the floor with it's broom. The victory is also a reflection of the protest against the current political system. The AAP's journey from mass movement to political office in just one year is without a parallel.

The AAP transited from being a civil society organisation committed to the realisation of the Lokpal to a political party seeking to implement the vision of Lokniti. The manifesto being implemented by the AAP is to get peoples feedback on issues of importance. The new government is a radical deviation from the past. Given the manners in which the AAP has hit other parties, it will need to deliver it's promises quickly. The people have elected the AAP and expect it to get down to governing. Things have gone away for the congress and the BJP took a wise decision in standing down and letting AAP from the government

It also worthwhile, to explore the possibilities of AAP in other states. In a state like Kerala where there are only two main wings, entry of a reform party like AAP will definitely make a change. The time we have to wait is only uncertain.

AAP has redefined politics for the time being. Their efficiency and durability is something that has to be experienced. Meanwhile we can hope for a new dawn and wish AAP good luck in its battle.
